Those seeking to buy a pug puppy should be warned that the only coat colours acceptable in the pug are Fawn, Apricot, Silver and Black. Brindle, white and other novelty coloured puppies being advertised for sale as pugs are not pure-bred, and it is completely inappropriate for buyers to spend huge sums of money on buying animals whom the Kennel Club will only register with the classification “colour not recognised by the Kennel Club”.
Buyers should also think carefully before importing puppies from other countries, as recently there has been concerns from Vets about whether the information you receive about the imported puppies is correct, i.e vaccination information and age, thus there has been an increasing concern about Rabies.
