The Pug Dog Club Championship Show will be held on Sunday 16 July at Brackley, Northants, where the Judges will be Christine Porch (Dogs), Joel Saffer (Bitches), Adele Nicholson (Referee). The Judges have an entry of 165 Pugs making 239 entries awaiting them. As usual, there will be an array of Puggy goods available on the Pug Dog Welfare &Rescue Association stall – and don’t forget that items are always welcome for the raffle.
The Grand Prix is taking place at Silverstone the same weekend as the Pug Dog Club Championship Show – we have not clashed with this before as the Grand Prix usually takes place earlier in the month. I have been in touch with Brackley Leisure Centre who said: ”the roads are much better than they ever used to be so it should not cause you too much disruption. I would suggest advising people to check the traffic road closures online though beforehand to avoid certain routes.” Hopefully the majority of exhibitors will be arriving at the venue early enough to avoid what will presumably be heavy traffic around the area for the motor event, but inevitably there will be congestion, and exhibitors would be well advised to build in extra time for their journey as well as checking for diversions on usual routes. There may also be information on the Highways Agency website nearer the date of the event.
