Posted on January 13, 2021

CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2020, JOINT BREED CLUBS’ CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2021 & CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2021.

In view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Kennel Club has kindly given permission for the Club to postpone the Championship Show 2020 and the Joint Breed Clubs’ Championship Show 2021. Following the announcement that Crufts 2021 is moving to the same weekend as the Club July Championship Show 2021, the Kennel Club has also agreed to a postponement of that show.

The Club is delighted to announce that it has entered into agreements to hold the postponed Joint Breed Clubs’ Championship Show 2021 in partnership with Southern Counties Championship Show 2021, and to hold the postponed Championship Show 2020 in partnership with the City of Birmingham Championship Show 2021. The Club is looking forward to this new venture with these two Show Societies, both of which have long standing experience in holding Partnership Shows with Breed Clubs.

The Championship Show 2021 has been postponed to December 2021, and will now be held on the date originally scheduled for the Winter Open Show. The Winter Open Show 2021 has been cancelled, and the Club is pleased that the Judges have accepted appointments to judge at the Clubs’ March Open Show 2022.

Forthcoming shows for 2021 are now scheduled as follows:
JOINT BREED CLUBS’ CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2021 (hosted by the Pug Dog Club)
Date: 4.6.21. Venue: Southern Counties Championship Show.
Judges: Christine Porch (Dogs), Joyce Clark (Bitches), Colin Wills (Referee).

CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2020
Date: 3.9.21. Venue: City of Birmingham Championship Show.

CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2021

Thanks to the City of Birmingham and Southern Counties for kindly agreeing to the Pug Dog Club holding our shows in Partnership with them, and thanks to the Judges for their understanding, flexibility and patience over the change of arrangements.

The Officers and Committee of the Pug Dog Club send best wishes to all our members, exhibitors, Judges and volunteers, and look forward to seeing you later in 2021 with a bumper crop of Championship Shows.
Get ready for a busy time ahead. In the meantime, keep safe.

Nigel Marsh, Show Secretary.
